An improved three-piece chassis helps to reduce mechanical resonance, and the J-shaped tonearm improves tracking. The integrated cartridge is an AT-VM95 dual MM equipped with a replaceable/upgradable VMN95C conical stylus. The AT-LP70XBT plays both 33-1/3 and 45 rpm records. In addition to wireless Bluetooth with aptX, it has a built-in switchable phono preamp that can be connected directly to a home stereo, powered speakers, and other components, whether they have a dedicated phono input or not.
AT-VMN95 Upgradeable Stylus:
Unlike most turntables with an integrated headshell and cartridge, the AT-VM95 series is available in five different style styli. In addition to the included AT-VM95C conical stylus, you can upgrade easily to the separately available AT-VMN95E elliptical bonded, AT-VMN95EN elliptical nude, AT-VMN95ML microlinear, or AT-VMN-95SH shibata needles.
